How do I prep my nails?2025-06-24T12:25:31-07:00

Preparing the natural nails is the most important step to ensure proper adhesion. Use these steps for all your Versatility Gel nail applications,

  1. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
  2. Shape the natural nails as desired.
  3. Use the ASP Pterygium Remover & Spoon Pusher or an ASP Birchwood Stick to push back the cuticles so there is no cuticle or dry skin attached to the nail plate.
  4. Gently buff the surface of all nails with an 180-grit file or 150-grit buffer to remove the natural shine completely.
  5. Use a lint free cloth or pad with the ASP 2-n-1 Dehydrator & Cleansing Wipe to thoroughly clean the nails of any dust or debris. The entire nail surface should appear a dull chalky white.
  6. Apply ASP Bonder first, then either ASP Nail Primer or ASP Acidless Primer on the entire natural nail.
  7. Proceed with your ASP Versatility Gel nail application of choice.

Pro Tip: When doing your own nails, it’s best to complete one hand entirely then begin on the other.

Why is the product lifting after only a few days?2025-06-24T12:32:06-07:00

The top 2 reasons for this: 1) Improper prep, just like Soak Off Gel, proper prep is KEY to adhesion. 2) Be sure and get the product off your skin BEFORE you cure under a lamp if you have an ‘oopsie’. If you do not, you can bet the product will lift.

Try the LED/UV Dip, Cure & Go (no glues or activators) or the Mini Quick Dip Kit is your best bet. NOTE: The Mini Quick Dip Kit and the Quick Dip are basically the same kit, but the larger one contains more product. Both kits have all the products you need to complete a Quick Dip Manicure. The Color Quick Dip Kit is for those customers that want to go a little old school. It has a spray activator.

Do I have to use the Brush Cleaner?2025-07-03T07:17:52-07:00

YES!!! You will want to! When the #2 Nail Base & Top Gel brush touches the dip powder or activator, it can make the brush become gooey or hard. It’s good measure after doing a few nails to just simply switch the brush out of your Brush Cleaner with the dirty brush, then let it soak for a bit while you do a few more nails. This will keep your brushes clean for a smooth application.
